BioTox Toxicity test based on Aliivibrio fischeri (formerly Vibrio fischeri)

BioTox method is the traditional and standardized way to measure the toxicity of chemicals or effluents ISO 11348-3: Water quality – Determination of the inhibitory effect of water samples on the light emission of Vibrio fischeri (luminescent bacteria test.

This kit is packaged as a cost effective alternative to the 1243-1000 Water Toxicity Kit.  Bacterial reagents are packaged to permit less reagent waste for smaller sample numbers. The operation protocol has also been simplified to reduce pipetting steps and a salt tablet is included instead of OAS solution and sample diluent to reduce costs in shipping. Results can be interpreted by any approved ISO luminometer.

The test takes between 5 to 30 minutes to perform with comparable results results with other commercially available platforms.

• 1243-510 Reagent Diluent 11 ml (6 Vials)
• 1243-515 NaCl2 9.0g (1 Tablet)
